A Snapshot a Day 1/27/14

So first and foremost: I GOT INTO UC RIVERSIDE. That seriously made my day. And one of my dear friends made it in with me. SO excited. But I think he's gonna leave me for Hawaii. Bastard.
Yeah yeah I know I haven't done one of these in a very long time but hey, college stuff is difficult. And basically melts your brain into goo. So i took a break to solidify by brain once more but by then it was finals week. Whoo. Not so fun. I passed every one except my Spanish 3 AP one because you know who need Spanish. I do -.-

1. UC RIVERSIDE ACCEPTANCE WHOOOOO

2. Marvel kind of day. Watched the Avengers on Netflix for the first day of a three day weekend

3. Last day of finals with Sabrina and Kirby in Child Development. Oh how I hate that class

4. Been going to Zumba for the past week and it feels so goooood. Exercise is always needed especially when the holidays are over. Also one of my New Year Resolutions

5. My "cousin" cut his hair too look more punk and well, it was a shock. Especially to my mom haha. It works for him. Maybe.

6-7. For child development we must wear the empathy belly to pretend we are pregnant. To my surprise it wasn't that heavy at all. just a lot of strain on the back. My English teach saw me and his look was priceless. SO confused because he just saw me earlier in the day for class. Apparently I'm not the type of girl people think to get pregnant. Whoopy for that I suppose haha. Join the no pregnant club!

And that was my recap blog for January. Wow the first month of the year is almost done. Crap. That means graduation is close. I don't wanna grow up *sobs horribly in the corner*
To not growing up and being a kid forever,

Monday Quotes 1/26/14

“I can feel Peeta press his forehead into my temple and he asks, 'So now that you've got me, what are you going to do with me?' I turn into him. 'Put you somewhere you can't get hurt.”  -Suzanne Collins

“And now I’m looking at you,” he said, “and you’re asking me if I still want you, as if I could stop loving you. As if I would want to give up the thing that makes me stronger than anything else ever has. I never dared give much of myself to anyone before – bits of myself to the Lightwoods, to Isabelle and Alec, but it took years to do it – but, Clary, since the first time I saw you, I have belonged to you completely. I still do. If you want me.”  -Cassandra Clare

“I nodded, looking at Rachel with respect. "You hit the Lord of the Titans in the eye with a blue plastic hairbrush.” -Rick Rodian

"One must always be careful of books," said Tessa, "and what is inside them, for words have the power to change us." -Cassandra Clare

"Remember when you tried to convince me to feed a poultry pie to the mallards in the park to see if you could breed a race of cannibal ducks?"

"They ate it too," Will reminisced. "Bloodthirsty little beasts. Never trust a duck." -Cassandra Clare

These are some quotes from some of my favorite books and authors. In the loving mood. Oh if only fictional guys were real. Then everyone would be happy. Until they rip each other to shreds for that one guy ha :9

Natalie's Thoughts: First Basketball Game

There are many peculiarities in life that I often gaze at and wonder: why? Why people cheer at basketball games or while they go out to eat at the end of a win or why players wipe there feet when waiting for a free throw. All these things I wonder as I sit here at my first high school basketball I've ever attended. How strange. Maybe it's just me noticing the little things people do, the people who attend, and how in the world I played this in middle school. I was a strange child then. My school is winning now. Currently 35-34. The suspense. How funny people faces are. They look like monkeys and the ball is the banana. Ooh ooh ah ah my friends. I'm sure we all have monkeys in us whether its for basketball or tea making or collecting stamps. Even the most peculiar things make people happy. You'd be surprised. I want Ice cream. That sounds lovely right now. Nice cold Ice cream for the "winter weather of California": 82 degrees. Oh the other team scored! Were tied now. The suspense is really on now. The cheerleaders from both sides are screaming there heads off. It hurts my ears. Girlies. I think the only people who are not over excited about this game are the band people, my people. It really is hilarious to see how everyone's else's face is over excited and ours is like "Ooh my drum sticks are breaking" or "I need a strew driver I have a loose screw." No wonder we only bond between ourselves. Oh we won. Whoo! Now to head home and out of a stinky uncomfortable gym and sleep. Ha not really. To the internet I go! Like any other teenager of this era. Wow i must really change this. I don't want too be part of that mob. The one who basicly gave our era a bad name by coming up with the most delusional unsensable things to distinguish us like "swag" and "yolo". I really hope this is just a phase for most of the people then that is just a really sad future for them. but then again who makes the sad love stories, songs, artworks, and great novels we all read? Not happy people. Edger Allan Poe, Mark Twain, Charles Dickins, Frida Kallo, Pablo Pacaso, Selena, and Richie Valens. Ah if only the'd wouldn't have to go threw so much pain. Poor people. Poor sad dumbstruck people. So moral of the tale: Be a sad person to become reiculiously famous. What a harsh cost for money. And money makes the world go round so damn. Were all skrewed. There wasn't any real reason for this blog post but to share my thoughts of what goes on in my brain. I feel like its nice to share them and to know that I'm not the only one who thinks of these things. And quite frankly I like writing these.
Goodnight love,

Monday Quotes 1/20/14

"Of course I'll hurt you. Of course you'll hurt me. Of course we will hurt each other. But this is they very condition of existence. To become spring, means accepting the risk of winter. To become presence, means accepting the risk of absence" -Antoine de Saint-Exupery "The Little Princess"

Instructions Not Included

I have recently watched the most heart wrenching, straining, breaking, and completely shattering movie with my family: Instructions Not Included. This movie is directed and stared by Eugenio Derbez. He completely wrote the script and even included his wife! And my hat goes off to him because gods was this movie was good. I completely recommend this movie for all the lovers of a strong daughter and father relationships and I summon all of the Daddies Girls out there. In the movie, basically what happens is that Derbez is a top notch playboy in Acapulco and sleeps with many many woman. As a result he get a knock at his door and one of his ladies comes back with a baby. And well you can probably guess the rest. It is a wonderful story of how a father will do anything to keep his daughter happy and joyful.

The movie turned on those brain juices and got me thinking how beautiful people are. People, when being honest and truly themselves, I honestly believe are good true people. I read an idea/quote from a novel, that I currently forget which it is, (I keep thinking its "The Jungle" by Upton Sinclair but I think its "Heart of Darkness" by Joseph Conrad) where the main character believe that everyone is born evil and with evil intentions. One must be turned good, if possible, because people are born with horrid intentions. For a time I believed this was true, because it made sense in my head. I've my share fair of people commit evil or "ungood" intentions. I suppose it is the way I was raised. I see it as my parents raise my siblings. They raise them with anger, no patience, molding them into little adult people they believe is right. They also yell and respond in ways they shouldn't talk to children; its making them grow up faster. Anyways, I believed this was true; people are born evil. But now and then I see people who change my view now and then like the actors in this movie. It's nice to see truly good people in a world full of horrors and terror. (Excuse my exaggeration) I mean we all can't have the American Dream.

Basically my reaction at the end of the movie reenacted by Jessica Day. Oh the feels. They get me every time.
