To be honest, I'm not that excited. It doesn't seem exciting to me really. It never has. Graduation for me was always just a sort of land mark. A place where I had to get to to start my real life, the ones you see on TV shows and wish you had. Yeah you know what I'm talking about. Those little apartments in New York City like in "Friends" and have that weird job that is slightly growing on you with those people that are more like family than friends and finally finding that person that you truly really love and want to spend the rest of your life with. No? Just me? Allllllrighty then lets continue.
Well graduation came by fast and honestly the only portion of schol that I'm really gong to miss is my band family. As much as I hate their guts sometimes ( like when they do not put their marching uniform back correctly on the hanger and I have to do it grrrrr) I really do consider them family because, seriously, if you have stood in the sun for say 7 hours with the same group of people for 4 days a week for 4 weeks, you bond. Pain, heat, sweat, dehydrated and inappropriate jokes, but you bond. Hopefully one day we can "get the band back together" and party and have fun. These people have impacted my life one way or another and it has been great marching next to them this year. All 20 of them haha. Best Marching Band in Southern California for the win!
The teachers: The three teachers that have had the greatest bond with in all my 4 years were the following:
Mr. Guerrero. He ( Mister ) and we call him, was my first high school teacher. And one of the best actually. He has taught me so much about music from sitting up start and putting the curse of not crossing my feet EVER in the band room to learning how to actually count my music and realizing where the music we play comes from. I thank this man for his dedication to the band and all that he does for us. Seriously, he slept in a parking lot for a week for us so I think we really owe him.
Mr. Clark: I met Mr. Clark this year when I took Physiology. And really that was one of the best courses that my school offers. In his class I was able to dissect a sheep brain, a heart, and the most important, a cat. Because of this teacher I was able to go to Prom. He motivated me every day ( sine he was my 7th period ) for 2 months and I finally talked to my dad and was able to attend. I bonded with him and trusted him and am pretty sure if I ever need advice, he'll be there.
Ms. Quezada: She is on of the most influential people I have ever meet. She will go to the end of the world and back for her students. Ms. Quezada was my AVID teacher and my AP American History teacher. From cramming for the AP to writing essays and my personal statements, she was always there. For her we owe all our excellent grades we earned because if we ever got senioritis she would throw a "chancla" or better known as a sandle at us. Seriously, she has a huge one on her wall. She is also the reason we had a better chance of getting into college.Thank you Ms. Quezada for being on our hineys all freaken year but not for giving us that dreadful AVID project. Those were headaches I really didn't need haha. Bring on the college!
I am now free from school and have nothing to do now. Whoo for growing up. Time to start my future. Let a new chapter begin!
